It's not always about me

My kids have a crazy fun 2 story fun house in the backyard that they cannot resist, no matter how hot  or cold it is so i do not feel the need to upgrade but I was at Lowe's on 86th & Michigan and WHOA this super cute playhouse stopped me in my tracks. Part of a contest sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, this is just one of the many really fun structures that are looking for your votes and also potential purchasing benefitting a good cause. http://playitforward.indyhabitat.org/Home/About

Hi! Did you go to the last Indie Vintage Art Antique Mart? Loser. Seriously this is the best source for  fab priced, totally unique wares for the home and you were not there?? Geez. Ok so you get another chance August 4th don't blow it, it's at Glendale behind the movie theatre. At the last show I was next to the best the piece there: this mid mod white fireplace (still avail!!) from my friends Dave & Mark.

Happy Birthday 'Merica

Charlotte Olympia Wonder Woman Shoes (my name for these, not hers) $1050.

It's Independance Day. I had mine a year and a half ago but I still get excited revisiting the concept. Went to the lovely President Harrison Home on Delaware for the annual ice cream social. It was hideously hot but we got some free ice cream and a house tour so it's was all good

Mani Pedi

Not a big fan of press on nails but the new collection by Ruffian for MAC may just change my mind. Or perhaps even inspire me to create the look myself with my ginormous collection of polish that I continually buy but never wear. Chanel mushroom only please. 3 looks including a red reverse french manicure  and a script ruffian logo(shown) that I may just have to commandeer for some kind of fancy stationary, it looks that good. $25 http://www.maccosmetics.com/

Now you're hungry

You hear "affordable luxury " all the time but what does it exactly mean? Is is Target shopping with good quality, on trend designed housewares? Is it a brand new Kia? Is it a teeny tiny Vuitton wallet? Well, I hit the definition of Affordable Luxury last night when I skidded down 10th street to hit Sushi Club. Right by the Foot Locker Outlet (a mixed result experience usually) this former Pizza Hut is a huuuuge enourmous googleplex surprise. First surprise: all you can eat $22 including soup, salad and appetizers NOT A BUFFET WHEW Second surprise: it is fresh and delicious on par with Mikado and Wasabi completely not kidding. You're welcome
