Here's a preview

I don't know if y'all realize this, but Indyfashbash is going to be featured in The Indianapolis Star on Sunday. I hope I didn't say anything totally stupid.

Is Kate Moss really a ringing endorsement?

Maybe I am retarded, but I just don't get Topshop. It seems very H&M to me and since after 35 years of no US outpost, a bit late to the party. NOT coming to a mall near me, I was forced to check the website. Lots and lots of stuff, lame thumbnails and everything I like, including this dog sweater dress and yeti coat, were sold out. I am sorry, contrary to THE RULES, that does not make me want you more, TS

Pre Tom Cruise

When I was home in Toledo for Christmas a few years ago, I saw Katie Holmes at Banana Republic trying on a coat. She was really tall and had a bigger butt then you would expect but super cute. She did not buy the coat BTW. I am a little fascinated by her since her parents live right down the street from mine in a great old Gothic farmhouse and she started out so normal. I blame her completely for my pegged pants. That, and the fact they are about 4" too long

Back in the day

In the early 90's I was on an airplane with the band Warrant. No, not as a groupie, haha, bands actually flew commercial back then, believe it or not. It was, to be honest, a horrifying experience. It was 5 am and they were drunk and terribly obnoxious and all their roadies stank. I am only reliving this because I found an enormous box of cassette tapes in my basement today. Titles include, but are not limited too: Kix, Fine Young Cannibals, The Outfield, Night Ranger, Siouxie and the Banshees, The Call, 808 state, Aaron Neville (pretty sure that is not mine) Judas Priest, Nitzer Ebb, Cypress Hill, Lords of Acid (LOVE THEM)and about a thousand mix tapes. Lucky lucky me, my car has a tape player and I will be rocking this shit for the next month. Can't wait

Thanks, National City Bank drive thru ATM

On the radio I heard this commercial for a tire store today that said "The road is filled with potholes and A holes" and I laughed but then thought about how you could just substitute 'life" for "road" and then just get totally depressed. Whatever. I am not a generally happy person anyway, I'm German, so there you have it, and find people who claim or seem to be happy all the time suspect. Or drugged. I am not sure that is a desirable attainment anyway, doesn't it require quite the suspension of disbelief? No thank you

No! Even if it's 20% off!

Uh Oh. Must. Resist. Dog.

Well, not that bad

Was at the Castleton Macy's today and I had a flashback to the late 1980's when I used to work there in men's furnishings when it was Lazarus, where are you now Billy Badger? I feel a little bad about calling it a loser in an earlier post because the shoe department was actually OK. They had a lot of Coach including a great motorcycle boot and a not so great 80's style pink puffy tennis shoes. Other brands of note include Doc Marten, Lacoste, Stuart Weitzman and, God help me I am so over it, Ed Hardy. The rest of the store was still pretty boring and the bathroom could use an update, though I am attracted to that Kenzie line that, sadly, never quite fits me right
