Picky

Why do plants need decorated? Isn't a "flower pick" kind of redundant? I came across these funky bird carnival glass FP's when i was cleaning out the last of the warehouse today. (yeeha now I need a DRINK) I almost tossed them, but seeing as my hair refused to stay knoted on top of my head, decided to put them to good use. If I were to do this again, I would probably color the stem in with a brown marker, that white is just harsh. And soak them in bleach as my kid JUST dropped them in the toilet. Man, anytime I get anything nice......

Giddy yup

When I've got a lyric or poetry assignment I have high hopes for being all angsty and cool like Nin or Tool. But, inevitably, it turns out like a country song, only without a truck in it. Daily trip

I don't know what Target is doing with the this Go International thing. I get it, it's edgy, it European and they don't make a bunch of it. Unlike that Mossimo brand that seems to multiply before your eyes. I guess we are supposed to rush ouT and buy it RIGHT NOW. This latest 80's inspired collection has just appeared. I swear I had this dress is 8th grade that I wore with polka dot hair bow. LOVE IT. A little ruffle-ey but the florals oare fun, just don't wear them together. I think I'm going to get the mod flower shorts and the melon bell sleeve(when it goes on sale) jacket.

easy summer

The best summer outfits are the simplest yet make you look unfrumpy. I wore these terry shorts all last year with a fitted polo. This year I switched to a sleeveless Old Navy hoodie. With high wedge shoes, these Tory Burch hot pantish shorts make your legs look a mile long. I should have bought them in every color. They even match my bruise!

They are perfect

Some things are a total classic and must always be in your closet. I cannot believe I do not own a pair of cowboy boots. Make that DID not, until today. Thanks Marcy!!!!!

Missoni Mission

You know what they say: if you wear a fashion trend once, you are too old to wear it again? I kinda disagree since I have a pair of leggings, appliqued t shirt and hotpants currently in rotation. But I do agree once you get to a certain age, you really need to watch it with the granny fashion, Fitted wiggle 50's dress? Timeless. Ironic plaid poly pull on pants? Not so much. It does not look retro it looks POOR. Sometimes even high fashion can trick you. Take Missoni for instance. This hugely expensive knit house has got it going on for over 40 years, YET. The trademark chevron pattern has tuned up in many a Alfred Donner cardigan. This brand needs to be seriously fitted or it is frump city. Since that youngin' Marguerite has been the new face it has been quite enticing. I have been dying to get my hands on a Missoni dress but nothing has turned up on the sale rack that is a)fitting properly b) Missoni enough. Why on earth would I pay $600 for a black cardigan??? Gimmie the wave, baby
