I'd also prefer a bateau neck instead

I forgot to add this dress photo to my VonMaur post. By BCBG, it is a lightweight wool but what really makes it is the skirt. See that grey part? It is actually extra fabric that bows out in little trumpet flares all the way around. If this dress were cashmere I would be all over it.

Cue wind machine

I love the style of late 1940's. dresses. Nice full skirts with a nipped waist but really fun trims and embellishments. Sweet checked wool skirted dress with velvet top. I wish you could see the trimmed buttons on the front and the puff sleeves a little better. This wacky purse I picked up at an estate sale just this morning. It is a little dusty but just so cute with all the plastic fruit and flowers. I wore my short boots so it did not look too staid, that length of skirt is hard to pull off without looking frumpy

Gotta take this call

Went to the Coburn Place Designers Closet sale today at North Church and I don't know if it was because I went terribly late or what but, man, I got nuthun'. Well, waaay less then I usually do. Some cashmere for resale, plaid vintage dress and some beaded thing for myself which is totally 80's but I think I can pull it off with a full short foofy skirt and ankle boots. Anyway, Saturday is Bag Day, where you pay $75 for a bag and all you can fill it with. Perhaps you can find something.

Hey! Will you look at that! I am not at Thrill Kill Kult! What a surprise!

Tory Burch giraffe dress that looks alarmingly like an Esprit one I had in '88 and Bongo platform faux croc shoes

Castleton Wednesday

Clinique Bonus at Von Maur, which I usually avoid. Von Maur, I mean, not the notorious sucker bet that I fall for every time that is Clinique Bonus. I saw a girl with the most fabulous purse to ever grace that store, I am sure, a pink Vuitton Richard Price bag. Thinking VM was always kind of middling, I was surprised to see brands like French Connection, Free People and Burberry (!!!). This Juicy bag had a great big ring charm I just loved, bag not so much. When did Kate Spade get so boring? Must be that Liz Claiborne thing.

Outfit of the day

J Crew beaded linen tunic, Juicy terry capris and my funeral flip flops

Still want them

It's not just for drinking

The biggest problem with Bro Rip shopping is the Bro Rip parking. I hope the new stores in the 800 block of Broad Ripple Avenue can overcome this because they look super cute. Crazy 8 Boutique is a new consignment shop that is being readied for it's grand opening in a few weeks. You know how I love me some consignment shopping. Phaith has been open for a few months and has all kinds of super trendy accessories, not my style but I get it. Can I give some advice? Stay open laaaate. Slinky! Big sale this weekend to clean out the shop, going to online only http://www.slinkyfashions.com/ Smart!
